Red Sensation - is an Austraian strain of Barlett that shows better color stability than Max Red Bartlett. The Fruit is similar in size, shape, texture, and quality compared to Bartlett, but has a higher sugar content.

Seckel - has small fruit, reddish-brown over yellow with russet. Its flesh is white and sweet. An excellent dessert pear, Seckel has some resistance to fireblight.

Taylor's Gold - is an exciting, new russeted Comice form New Zealand. The fruit has an attractive appearance, a rich, sweet flavor and is delicatly perfumed. The variety appears percocious and heavy cropping, with slightly more vigor than standard Comice. Fruit bearing is predominantly on spurs. Taylor's Gold is a natural mutation fo Doyenne duComice and matures approximately three weeks after Bartlett. Planting is reccommended for high-russeting orchard sites.
