Bosc - is an excellent eating pear with soft, sweet, buttery flavor; it picks three weeks after Bartlett. Bosc is a large, long-necked pear that has an attractive yellow undercolor overspread with a fine russet. The tree blooms after d`Anjou and Bartlett in the Comice season and is a good pollinizer for late-blooming varieties.

Comice - is an excellent, large dessert pear. Mis-season maturing pear has high quality, fine-textured, juicy, sweet melting flesh. Fruit color is green, possibly a yellow blush. It has a low chilling requirement.

D`Anjou - is the Leading variety of winter pears. Fruit is firm and juicy, with a superbly rich flavor. It has excellent keeping qualities. The tree is vigorous and productive.

Red Clapp's - is an excellent selection of red pear that ripens before Barlett. The fruit is fine-grained with very white flesh and excellent flavor similar to Clapp's. It is subject to internal breakdown if stored too long.
