SnowSweet^® (CV. MN1797)

SnowSweet^® is a recent release from the University of Minnesota. This Sharon and Connell Red cross was formally known as MN1797. The flavor is sweet with a slight tart overtone. The white flesh is firm and slow to oxidize when cut making it ideal for display cutting and salads. Color characteristic is a bronze-red blush over a green-yellow background. As with many varieties bred at the University of Minnesota, SnowSweet^® us quite cold hardy and has been found to meet the climatic challenges of northern apple-growing regions.
